Woodblock printing, a fun and versatile medium done by carving relief images into wood, is an important and historic means of creating printed images. This class will give students a full understanding of the woodblock printing process as well as help them develop confidence in image making. A great class for students of all skill levels, this process will encourage bold, and personal image making.
Each week will build on the last as we move through each step together as a group from learning to cutting our images through to the printing process. We will discuss woodblock prints from around the world as well as each others work to inspire and inform our own.
