In this relief printmaking class, you will learn the fundamentals of linoleum block printing. Printmaker Ryan Numair will guide you through group demonstrations and one-on-one instruction to help you meet your individual goals. This class focuses on techniques that make printmaking accessible to do at home.
You will explore monochromatic, reduction, multi-block, jigsaw, and fabric printing techniques, using methods for both hand printing and printing with a press.
The class will also cover printmaking paper, ink, and other materials. Students are encouraged to exchange prints, allowing you to leave with a keepsake portfolio. Beginners can learn the basics of relief printing with linoleum, while intermediate students can continue developing their skills. No experience is necessary!
