Call for Ornaments: A Longwood Christmas

Be Part of A Longwood Christmas!

Main Line Art Center is thrilled to have been chosen to participate in Longwood Garden’s Community Trees display this year! As part of A Longwood Christmas, the beautiful and collaborative Community Trees display celebrates the vibrancy and diversity of our local arts community, with trees dressed in ornaments crafted by local arts organizations.

The Art Center’s tree theme is “Twelve Artists of Christmas,” inspired by the “The Twelve Days of Christmas,” the tree will highlight twelve different artists with each ornament a festive reinterpretation of their famous works or signature style.  The twelve artists included on our tree will be Claude Monet, Friday Kahlo, Yayoi Kusama, Pablo Picasso, Barbara Kruger, Vincent van Gogh, Faith Ringgold, Alexander Calder, Gustav Klimt, Kehinde Wiley, Amy Sherald, and Niki de Saint Phalle.

We need your help making over 300 ornaments for our tree!

Ornament requirements:

Please note that we cannot guarantee that your ornament will be included on the tree. The ornaments are dropped off to Longwood and the trees are decorated by their staff members. Some ornaments do not make it on the tree.

Ornaments will not be returned. All ornaments are donations to the Art Center and some ornaments may be sold in our Gallery Shop or at our Seconds Sale after January 2026.

If you would like to participate, please drop-off your ornament at the front desk by October 20, 2025. No ornaments will be accepted after this date.

We can’t wait to see what you create for our community Christmas tree!
