“I grew up in a family of artists, so drawing and painting have always been a part of my life. I was three when I knew I wanted to be an artist. I moved to Philadelphia to study at the Pennsylvania Academy and University of Pennsylvania; this city has been my home for over thirty years, with the exception of the two years I spent living in Spain. Painting in Spain is tremendously exciting- it is as if the desert southwest meets the majesty of Europe. I currently focus on landscape, providing a sense of air, space, and light in my paintings. I also love teaching art. Drawing and painting are skills that can be taught; my teaching experience runs the gambit from children’s painting parties to university level. I happen to particularly love working with beginners.”
