Spend three inspiring days exploring the rich possibilities of encaustic art with Professor Emerita Karen Bright. Through demonstrations, hands-on practice, and individualized instruction, youll learn a variety of encaustic techniques while developing your own creative approach.
Topics will include encaustic fundamentals, monotype printing, collage, pigment stick application, and layering and fusing with encaustic paint. Whether youre new to the medium or looking to expand your existing skills, youll gain practical experience and a deeper understanding of the unique qualities of wax-based painting.
Students are encouraged to explore at their own pace, with Karen providing personalized guidance and support throughout the workshop. This welcoming class is open to all skill levels and offers plenty of opportunities for experimentation, discovery, and creative growth.
