This class is part of our Accessible Art Program and is offered tuition-free for those experiencing economic hardship. If cost has been a barrier to your participation at the Art Center, we encourage you to register. Space is limited and available on a first-come, first-served basis. If cost is not a concern, please consider registering for one of our many other inspiring classes. You can browse our offerings online or call for more information.
In this Relief Printmaking class, Ryan Numair will guide you through the fundamentals of linoleum block printing with a combination of group demonstrations and one-on-one instruction to help you meet your individual goals. You’ll explore techniques that can easily be done at home, including monochromatic, reduction, multi-block, jigsaw, printing on fabric, and more. Learn how to print both by hand and on a press, experiment with different papers, inks, and tools, and exchange prints with classmates to build your own keepsake portfolio. Whether you’re brand new or looking to sharpen your skills, this class welcomes all levels—no experience necessary.
