Discover various textile surface design techniques. Gain knowledge in fiber types, pattern design, dye techniqies, hand painting techniqies, and more. Develop repeat patterns on paper to translate into hand made fabrics. Explore color and dye techniqes on natural fiber materials and garments. Bring in your own clothing to customize. This will be a hands on experimental course with demos. Sessions 1-2: Intro to pattern design and fibers. Sessions 2-3: Dye techniques. Sessions 4-6: Hand painting fabric
