This course is a survey of the pioneers of comics and manga over the decades. Each lessoncx has a sketchbook prompt to work from based on the artist discussed, so you will be challenged to draw subjects you may have never drawn before. From well-known greats like Osamu Tezuka and Jack Kirby, to unique comic movements like the Year 24 Group and American comic strips, this class brings the exciting and relatable history of comics and manga to you in new ways.
