This beginner-friendly course will introduce you to the core concepts of digital photography. Learn how to confidently use your camera, control exposure, and compose thoughtful images. Weekly lessons will explore lighting, camera settings (ISO, aperture, shutter speed), and creative approaches to everyday subjects. Perfect for those new to photography or looking to sharpen their visual skills — DSLR, mirrorless, and smartphone users are all welcome.

Student Supply List:

An SD card
A digital camera (DSLR, mirrorless, or iPhone), if they have one
A laptop for editing and file transfers
Optional: Notebook for notes or sketching ideas

Additional notes:

Main Line Art Center can provide Canon Rebel T100 cameras to use during class time only (not available for checkout).
Main Line can also provide laptops for in-class use if a student does not have their own (not available for checkout).
