Fold forming is a technique of metalworking whereby metal is folded, repeatedly forged and annealed, and unfolded, at which stage it has a dramatic new three-dimensional form. In this workshop we will be exploring various applications of fold forming to create dimension and surface texture to three projects. The first will be a cuff bracelet the second is a pair of earrings and the third is a pendant. Oxidation techniques and also heat patinas will be applied as a final finish. You can work in copper or sterling silver and have the option of creating pieces with more than one color of metal, for instance copper with silver overlay.
