Finish & Fire Studio: Thursdays in August (Handbuilding)

Welcome to our month-long ceramics studio, held on Thursdays in August! This studio is open only to handbuilders, no wheels will be accessible during this time. Explore your ambitions in a creative community. Intended for students with prior clay experience, to work with their own tools and materials. No tools or materials will be provided.The Finish & Fire studio will be held on Fridays from 10am-2pm. To ensure the safety of the studios and community, studio guidelines are provided to all students at the start of the month and must be adhered to. Any student unable to comply with guidelines will not be able to participate. Our refund policy applies to open studios.
Glazing and firing fees are included, but all clay must be purchased from the Art Center to protect kilns and ensure best possible outcomes. Only work that is completed during studio hours will be fired. Please be considerate and DO NOT bring work created at home to be fired. If you have work to be fired that youve created at home, we are now offering kiln rentals. Please contact Marsiella at mcatanoso@mainlineart.org to inquire about rental fees and to schedule a rental.
Adults and teens 16 or older are eligible for this studio. New students must meet with the Ceramics Program Coordinator, Marsiella Catanoso, for an orientation before joining. Marsiella can be reached at mcatanoso@mainlineart.org
