Little Luxuries 2025

Celebrate the intricacies and beauty found in the details of minute works of art. In it’s second year, Little Luxuries serves as an accessible entry point to art collectors new and old, and provides an opportunity to discover fresh and exciting artists. This regional juried exhibition will feature the works of 100 artists working in a range of styles and materials will be selected by our guest juror, Fred Danzinger.

Dates & Deadlines:

Application deadline: August 8, 2025
Artwork delivery is due by September 4, 2025
Opening Reception: September 12, 2025
Exhibition dates: September 12 – October 25, 2025

Requirements:
• Artists working in all mediums are encouraged to apply!
• Up to three pieces can be submitted for consideration
• Work must not exceed 10” x 10” including the frame.
• All work must be for sale and priced under $350.
• All work must be ready for display, including framing and hanging hardware when applicable.
• Works on paper must be framed.
• All artwork must be original, reproductions will not be accepted.

The gallery works on a 60%-40% commission split, 60% going to the artist. All accepted artwork must be dropped off at the gallery on September 3 or 4 between 9 AM – 6 PM. For non-local artists, artwork can be shipped at artist’s expense to 746 Panmure Road, Haverford PA 19041, ATTN: Rosemary Campellone. Artwork must be received by September 4. Artists are responsible for insuring their work while in transit. Main Line Art Center is not responsible for work while in transit to or from the gallery. Main Line Art Center reserves the right not to show any work that does not fit within the size limit, or does not reflect what was represented in the application.

Meet Our Juror

Fred Danziger is a graduate of the Pennsylvania Academy of the Fine Arts (1970). He has had over 30 solo shows in Philadelphia ( Rodger LaPelle, Gallery222, and FAN Galleries)  and Pittsburgh ( James Gallery), as well as numerous group shows in New York City at Sherry French and K.R. Perlow Galleries.

Fred received a major grant from the Tiffany Foundation, and 14 American museums, include his work in their permanent collections, including PAFA and the PMA. In 2016, The Southern Alleghenies Museum of Art mounted a major exhibit of over 60 of his paintings and in 2018, SAMA conferred on him their “Distinguished Artist Award”
Fred also won a Mid-Atlantic Emmy® in 2018 for his illustration work done for History Making Productions, a producer of historical documentary films, located in Philadelphia.

As an educator, Fred Danziger was on the faculty of The Pennsylvania Academy of the Fine Arts from 1997 – 2002 teaching portrait and still life painting classes, and from 2020- 2023 teaching online.
