Whether youre an illustrator, comic book artist, animator, or fine artist, this course will help you strengthen your understanding of the human figure and take your drawing skills to the next level.
Through demonstrations, guided drawing exercises, and hands-on investigations, youll build a solid foundation in human anatomy, including the structure, proportions, and mechanics of the body. Beginning with broad concepts and gradually moving into greater detail, youll explore the skeleton, major muscle groups, anatomical landmarks, and constructive anatomy in ways that are easy to understand, remember, and apply to your artwork.
Youll learn how the parts of the body relate to one another, giving you the tools to draw figures with greater accuracy, confidence, and expression. The course also includes two sessions of drawing from a live model, providing valuable opportunities to apply what youve learned through direct observation.
Basic drawing experience is recommended.
