This class is part of our Accessible Art program and is offered tuition free for those experiencing economic hardship. If cost has been a barrier to your participation at the Art Center, we encourage you to register. Space is limited and available on a first come, first served basis.
Young artists will have fun creating their own superhero, fantasy, and science fiction characters in this engaging drawing class. Each week introduces a new character project, giving students the opportunity to build their skills while exploring their imagination and creativity.
Through step by step instruction, students will learn how to draw and color dynamic characters, making the class accessible to beginners while still offering plenty of opportunities for more experienced artists to grow. Along the way, students will also explore the fundamentals of color theory, composition, and visual storytelling.
By the end of each class, students will leave with a finished, full-color drawing and the confidence to continue creating characters of their own.
