This class was originally scheduled to run on Dec. 6 but has since been rescheduled for Dec. 13.

Etegami is a Japanese folk art, involving making simple ink and watercolor paintings on cards that are intended to be sent to others as a way to reach out and connect. Unwind and immerse yourself in gentle, low-stress creativity, where the motto is “clumsy is good!”

 

Student Supply List:

• Watercolor cards (can be cut down from a larger piece of thick watercolor paper) or etegami cards 
• Waterproof Ink and ink brushes 
• Watercolor paints and brushes 
• Marker or pen for lettering 
• Chop or Hanko and/or rubber stamps of choice. You can also bring a new white Staedtler eraser that we can turn into a customized stamp
• Red inkpad 
• A few small objects to use as models (favorite tchotchkes or fresh fruit/veg, flowers etc.)
