You may be familiar with oil paint and color, or be a pure beginner, and you’re in the right place. This class presents the underlying concept all painters face: What Does the Paint Do? How does it feel?
This class is for all levels. An oil painter with experience may wish to attempt glazes or impasto, whereas a beginner may just want a pet portrait to call their own. An important facet of the class is that we are open to acrylics! We present and provide materials according to each student’s individual goals. Whatever we wish to paint and however we proceed as painters, this multi-track class allows us to learn and grow together, as we develop confidence and support one another through the dynamic and joyous experience of painting! We discuss materials on an individual basis.
Come prepared to draw and watch a demo using oil paint on the first night. During the course of the class, the instructor will plan a field trip to the museum with all classes, allowing us to develop our sense of community within a collection of master paintings.
