Attention teens! Your drawing skills need work! (And that’s not a question, it’s a fact.) It doesn’t matter if you like drawing what you see, drawing abstractly, drawing comics and manga, or even just doodling in the margins of your math notes, this drawing foundations course will help you get better. Focus on learning how to draw from observation starting from still life and ending with figure drawing from a live model. Learn three-dimensional object construction, how to find proportion and perspective, how to achieve dramatic values using pencils and charcoal (yes, you will have to ditch the pencils at some point and use charcoal. OH NOOOO!), and more! This class is designed to be as close to an actual college level drawing 1 class as possible (without the homework and crippling stress that comes with it!) but is PERFECT for beginners and beginners who think they are intermediates but are actually still beginners (Ha! That is most of us.). Every artist learns these concepts sooner or later but this way you can learn them without having to hear that awful TikTok AI voice narrating them to you.
