Nini Mosiashvili is a silversmith and founder of Ninimosi Designs, currently based in Philadelphia area. Originally from the country of Georgia, her journey into metalsmithing began with a deeply personal connection to silver, wearing ten tiny silver bangles made from her family’s spoons, gifted by her grandmother. That intimate relationship with material continues to shape her practice today.
Working primarily with recycled sterling silver, Nini hand-forges every design, honoring traditional metalsmithing techniques while embracing a contemporary, sculptural aesthetic. She continuously develops her skills through self-directed study, teaching herself new methods and pushing her process to refine a distinct personal style. Her work explores resilience, memory, and self-expression, creating jewelry that feels both powerful and deeply personal.
As a teaching artist, Nini is passionate about preserving the craft of traditional metalsmithing in an increasingly technology-driven world. She guides students in building strong technical foundations while encouraging experimentation, helping them develop their own personal collections and unique artistic voices through jewelry.
