As a lifelong artist and former elementary school teacher (K-2) of Haverford Township, Melody is excited not only for the opportunity to combine her two greatest passions, but also to give back to the community she loves. That being said, Melody is no stranger to hands-on crafts and activities and specifically loves offering unique art classes that incorporate other learning opportunities and disciplines as well. Though she enjoys and dabbles in a variety of art mediums and forms, she specializes in painting and drawing (in both traditional and digital mediums), and her perspective as a self-taught artist asserts her belief that art is for EVERYONE.
Melody’s work is colorful, whimsical, and cheerful. She especially enjoys drawing cartoon characters, anime scenes, and characters in lively/detailed environments, but has also tried her hand at realistic house and pet portraits. Outside of teaching, she regularly offers her illustration and painting services via custom portrait commissions and loves seeing her work bring joy to others. She hopes to write and illustrate her own children’s book one day!
