Originally from New Jersey, Marsiella is a ceramic artist creating functional pottery. She graduated from Pennsylvania State University in 2011 receiving her BFA in Ceramics with a minor in Art History. In 2012, she headed down south and enrolled at Clemson University as a post bac student, furthering her education within the ceramic field. During her time in academia, she participated in short residencies and work exchange programs, including Watershed Center for the Ceramics Arts in Maine and Arrowmont School of Craft in Gatlinburg, TN. In 2013, she moved to Floyd, Virginia and took on a two-year apprenticeship with potters Donna Polseno and Richard Hensley. In the summer of 2015, she moved to Philadelphia, PA, where she has been teaching clay classes to both children and adults at art centers in the region for the past ten years. She enjoys teaching folks from all walks of life who want to dabble in clay. Marsiella is a teaching artist for the youth classes and outreach programs at the Main Line Art Center.
