Kate Kasmer studied ceramics and fine arts at Syracuse University and holds a master’s degree in art education. With over 30 years of teaching experience, she has guided both children and adults in wheel throwing and handbuilding. She has worked at institutions including The Clay Studio (as an associate potter), the Miquon School, The University of the Arts, and the Philadelphia Senior Center. A passionate ceramicist, Kate creates work that is both functional and artful—pieces meant to be held, used, and enjoyed. Her work blends form and function, bringing warmth and intention to everyday rituals. She regularly participates in craft shows and artist residencies and lives locally with her husband, three children, and two beloved Labrador retrievers.
