Jessica Curtaz is a Philadelphia-based street artist and arts advocate. She crochets weeds, insects, real and imaginary creatures, and other over-sized flora and fauna onto the urban landscape, bringing a feminized craft out of the home and onto the streets. Jessica works as a teaching artist, specializing in adaptive teaching methods to marginalized populations, including the Center for the Blind and Visually Impaired in Chester, PA, The Overbrook school for the Blind, the PA School for the Deaf, individuals dealing with addiction and housing insecurity and children and adults with developmental disabilities.
