Scholarships
Everyone is welcome at Main Line Art Center! Cost should never be a barrier to participation in our programs.
What You Need to Know:
- Scholarship awards are made on a rolling basis during the application period and are awarded as funds allow.
- Scholarships are available for classes and regularly scheduled workshops
- Scholarships are not available for Visiting Artist Workshops, Open Studios, or other special events
- We only award one scholarship per person, per semester.
- We do not award more than $700 to adults, and $350 to youth in scholarships during the school year (fall, winter, spring). If you are able to contribute to the cost of the class, this will help your scholarship will go further.
- Scholarships will not be retroactively awarded nor will they be granted to students already enrolled for the semester.
- If you require a paper application, please visit the front desk.
Please remember that although we do not ask for financial information, scholarships are reserved for those whom cost is a barrier to participation. The Art Center has limited scholarship funds available. Our scholarships support students who would not be able to take art classes otherwise. Before applying, please read below to see if you may qualify for assistance:
Consider applying for a scholarship if you:
- are eligible for public assistance
- have significant debt
- are a single caregiver
- have been denied work due to discrimination
- are an elder with limited financial support
Consider paying tuition for a class if you:
- own the home you live in
- have investments, retirement accounts, or inherited money
- travel for recreation
- have access to funds through a spouse or family member
- have a high degree of earning power (via education, etc), even if you choose not to exercise that power
A completed application does not guarantee a scholarship award. Main Line Art Center reserves the right to award scholarships at our discretion.
