Main Line Art Center is proud to present the work of Professional Artist Member Doriz Peltzman in the Welcome Gallery March 4 – April 1, 2017.
Doris paints from life to capture the moment in time. In her own words, “It is the total impression that creates the completed painting. I focus on the light, color, mood, texture, harmony and the calligraphy of my brush strokes. Sometimes a painting requires a sustained approach but often the alla prima technique allows for greater spontaneity. I enjoy discovering a variety of surfaces for my paintings: birch, board, paper, plexiglas, mylar, mirror, canvas, wallpaper…. the color palette may change from painting to painting but it’s the oils that stay constant.”
