Teaching Artists for Summer Art Camp

Main Line Art Center seeks energetic and creative teaching artists in a variety of media for our “Summer of Color” 2024 visual arts day camp for ages 5 – 16. Ideal candidates have experience working with children and/or teens in a variety of media in a community arts setting and the ability to be responsive to classroom dynamics and student engagement.

We offer weekly camps from June 17 – August 23 with half-day (9 AM – 12 PM and 12:30 PM – 3:30 PM) or full-day (9 AM – 3:30 PM) options.

Teaching Artists for morning and full-day camp arrive at 8:30 AM and depart at 12:15 PM. Afternoon Teaching Artists arrive at 12:15 PM and depart at 4 PM

Responsibilities include:

Main Line Art Center features fully equipped studios and provides all art supplies for both campers and teaching artists.

Camps with open Teaching Artist positions include ceramics, glass fusing, digital photo, fibers, sculpture, painting, drawing, and mixed media.

Applicants must provide or be seeking clearance certificates for the PA State Police Criminal Record Check, PA Child Abuse History and FBI Fingerprinting. All clearances must be obtained before the start of camp. Mandatory reporter certification is also required and is a 3 hour paid training if you are hired. Payment will be issued upon receipt of certification.
