About Camp:
Main Line Art Center’s summer camp runs for 10 one-week sessions from June 16 to August 22, 2025. By participating in studios that cover a variety of mediums, campers ages 5-16 develop skills in collaboration, critical thinking, and self-expression. At the end of each week, campers display artwork at the Friday Art Party.
Position Description:
Teaching Artist Apprentices (TAAs) work for a minimum of two weeks with professional teaching artists to guide campers and learn about classroom management and curriculum development. This opportunity is for individuals who are passionate about art education, enjoy working with children, and want to gain working knowledge about teaching art.
New TAAs receive a weekly stipend of $100, and returning TAAs receive $150. TAAs under age 18 must provide a work permit. All TAAs must provide a W-9 and copies of Child Abuse & Criminal Background clearances. TAAs must be 15 years or older during assigned weeks.

Physical Requirements & Working Conditions
Must be able to remain in a standing or stationary position for extended periods of time. Must be able to adapt to high pace environments occasionally moving/lifting lightweight equipment and other work-related objects up to 25lbs. Must be able work outdoors for extended periods of time and interact with diverse groups of children, adults and families.
