In honor of the 20th anniversary of Zentangle®, let’s take tangle on a wide array of materials and with a large color palette. It is best if you have taken an Introduction to Zentangle® in advance of this class.
Week 1 – Zentangle® Paperweight: An introduction to White on Black: Learn the beauty of drawing on black tiles using white gel pens and how to shade using a white pencil. Explore more sophisticated versions of tangles and create a paperweight
Week 2 – Zenbuttons: Zenbuttons are gorgeous circular creations using Zentangle® patterns. The patterns are comprised of Reticula (the grids we draw within) and “Fragments” (the small patterns we fill the grids with)
Week 3 – Klimt: Zentangle® Edition: Gustov Klimt was a famous Austrian painter known for his paintings of women, especially “The Kiss.” Translate his signature shapes into the language of Zentangle®
Week 4 – Zentangle®: An Exploration in Gray Tiles: Have fun exploring the beauty of tangling on Gray tiles
