Come explore the fun of acrylic painting, even if you’ve never painted before! Learn how to mix the paint and keep it from drying too fast, and you’ll be surprised at what you can create. Feel free to bring in a photo or an object for inspiration.

 

Student Supply List:

• Please bring any acrylic paint you already have – it’ll work. A good starter set would be Liquitex Basics in these colors, or you are welcome to use just black and white:
  
  • Titanium White
  • Ivory Black
  • Cadmium Yellow Light Hue
  • Raw Sienna
  • Burnt Sienna
  • Alizarin Crimson or Primary Red
  • Ultramarine Blue
• At least one brush for acrylic paint.  A great starter set would be Liquitex Basics Bright size 4 and 8, Filbert size 4 and 8, round size 2, fan size 6.
• Stretched Canvas of your choice. I would recommend anything up to 12×16 
• Paper towels
• Squirt bottle for water 
• Water cup to rinse brushes
• Palette (a couple paper plates work great)
• Optional: Handful of cotton swabs (like Q-tips)
