Learn the basics of dyeing fabric using natural dyestuffs, including how to source materials, how to extract colors, what mordants are, and how to use them to fix natural dyes to fabric. Explore techniques such as immersion dyeing, bundle dyeing, and shibori. Leave with the beginnings of a swatch library in a range of fibers, dyes, mordants, and modifiers. Bring along any natural fibers (cotton, silk, linen, wool) you would like to experiment with!
