This class is part of our Art For Everyone series and is offered tuition-free for those experiencing economic hardship during the pandemic. Please register if cost has been a barrier to your participation at the Art Center. Spaces are limited and are first come, first serve. If cost is not prohibitive for you, please consider registering for a class that is not part of the Art for Everyone series. There are many exciting and inspiring classes available. Have you ever wanted to try oil painting and don’t know where to begin? Does the thought of “Oil Paint” sound intimidating? It isn’t: Oil Painting is by FAR the easiest medium for beginners. All you need to know are a few simple steps, and I will show you! We will proceed with a monochrome, that is one color, allowing you to “draw” with the paintbrush as you examine darks and lights on a simple still life. In this way you develop confidence as you go and we begin to get the feel of this wonderful medium.
