This class is part of our Acessible Art Program and is offered tuition-free for those experiencing economic hardship. Explore creating beautiful hand-painted textile works. Learn about fibers and dyeing to create colored bases to work over. Design and paint textile samples and create a final project like a fully restored garment or large wall hanging. Use wash-safe textile paint to create unique textiles for your closet, home, or as fine art works. Bring garments to overdye and design or use provided fabric. Class time will consist of short introductory demos with an emphasis on hands-on exploration.
