From sketching geometric shapes to refining a hammered or polished finish, you’ll build foundational metalworking skills while bringing your ideas to life. You’ll leave with a stunning, handcrafted pair of earrings ready to wear. Perfect for beginners looking to add some edge to their jewelry collection.

• Helpful for students to have:
  
  • Steady Hand-Eye Coordination: Essential for following drawn lines with a fine saw blade. 
  • Fine Motor Skills: Needed to manipulate small components like jump rings and thin jewelry blades. 
  • A Bit of Patience: Sawing metal is a meditative but slow process; blades will break, and that’s part of the learning curve! 
  • General Hand Strength: You don’t need to be an athlete, but you’ll be using your grip to hold pliers and the saw frame for extended periods. 
  • Visual Focus: Ability to see fine lines (bring your reading glasses if you usually need them for close-up work!).
