Attention Printmakers! One of the hardest things about being a printmaker is finding a space to print, so we are offering a one month printmaking open studio. Main Line Art Center has one larger press and one smaller desktop press on-site. Both are suitable for printing etchings, drypoint, linocuts, collagraphs, monoprints, etc. There is also an ample supply of inks, mostly water based, to choose from for both block printing and intaglio projects. Do you need a space to work on you plate or cut your Lino/woodblock? No problem, there are also plenty of carving tools on hand.
Please note we do not carry any etching chemicals and do not permit them to be brought into the studio. This is a moderated open studio and not a class. Some experience is required to join and as with all open studios you should always bring as much of your own supplies as possible in the event that some of our supplies are not available on a particular night.
