Join us on a photographic journey to develop a better sense of your concept and process while connecting with local photographers on the same journey. You will submit up to two photographs per week based on a pre-selected theme or compositional tool – for example, “depth-of-field”, “dominance”, “motion”, “color”, “light”, etc. You will be given up to 15 minutes to tell the class about your photo(s) and for open discussion.
Presentations and class discussions will include such topics as: What equipment did you use and why? How many attempts did it take to make the photo? What problems did you encounter? Was there a problem with light, weather, location, equipment, etc.? Did you edit the photo? If so, what software did you use? Why did you feel the photo needed editing? Did you learn anything from the editing process? If the photo was edited, does the editing enhance or detract from the result? Are you looking for any particular feedback about the photo? What drew you to make this photo (the light, the shadows, the subject, etc.)? The style of photo and what the photo is about. Does the style compliment or detract from the assigned theme? What would you want your audience to take away from seeing your photo?
