Discover how a simple slab of clay can become a beautiful, functional work of art. In this hands-on class, you’ll explore fundamental techniques in construction, texturing, decorating, and glazing. Each week, Marcia will guide you with live demonstrations and expert tips. For those feeling adventurous, you’ll even have the chance to complete your creations using the thrilling Raku firing process.

Student Supply List: 

• Clay must be purchased at Main Line Art Center ($30 for a bag of clay, payable at first class)
• Basic set of clay tools (also available at Art Center for $17.50)      
• Clay knife       
• Variety of clay ribs        
• Apron or towel          
• Pony roller     
• Textures to press into clay       
• Additional $25 supply fee payable to instructor for paint-on glazes (optional)
