Learn the elements of drawing: line, shape, texture, value, and color. Explore the principles of drawing: harmony, rhythm, and balance, etc. Learn reference points and work from still-lifes.

Supplies:

• Drawing Pad, 14″ x 17″ Strathmore smooth surface, Series 300  
• Staedtler graphite pencils, box of 6: HB, 2B, 4B, 6B, 8B  
• Painters Masking Tape (Blue)   
• kneaded eraser 
• Staedtler white eraser   
• Q tips   
• 2” brush or similar size Synthetic    
• Small plastic container for trash   
• T transparent Ruler 12”  
• Mechanialc pencil   
• Prismacolor Colored Pencils (box of 32 pencils)   
• General’s Charcoal Pencils box of 4: Hard 2B, Medium 4B, Soft 6B+ White charcoal  
• Black Sharpie Ultra Fine Point  
• Sharpener or cardboard utility knife small  
• Black pigment powder 8oz.(Blick supply store)  
• 1 brush flat ¼ inch synthetic (Taklon)
