Experience the magic of fire in this exciting handbuilding class. Watch weekly demos that will inspire you to bring your creative ideas to life as you build, glaze, and fire your pieces in our Raku kiln. Raku is an ancient Japanese firing technique that produces stunning, one-of-a-kind finishes every time. You’ll learn how to pull pieces from the kiln while they’re glowing red hot and place them into combustible materials, creating dramatic effects through the reduction process. Wheel throwers are welcome to bring in pre-thrown pieces to alter, though throwing will not take place during class.
