For students with little or no previous instruction in drawing! Learn step-by-step how to see like an artist so you can draw from life with gestural and proportional accuracy. Start by copying in order to learn accuracy, then draw from life. Get hands-on guidance as you learn gesture drawing, gridding, using shapes, negative space, and intuitive perspective. Learn a scaffolded approach to translating 3D to 2D, draw human features, draw animals, nature, and manmade objects, and learn how to focus while drawing. Receive brief lectures and handouts, and view demonstrations and examples of completed works.
