This workshop is held at Huentelglas Studio at 3603 Winding Way, Newtown Square, PA 19073.
Curious about stained glass and ready to try it for yourself? This one-day introductory workshop is the perfect place to start. In this hands-on class, you will learn the foundational techniques of stained glass while creating a finished suncatcher panel.
You may choose from two beginner-friendly panel designs: a modern geometric composition or a stylized landscape-inspired design. Each option offers plenty of opportunity to make personal color choices and create a piece that reflects your style.
Throughout the day, you will work step by step through the stained glass process, including selecting glass from a curated color palette, scoring and cutting glass, grinding pieces for an accurate fit, copper foiling each piece, and soldering and finishing your panel for hanging.
No prior stained glass experience is required. This class is designed for beginners and provides a supportive, small-group environment with plenty of individual instruction. All tools, materials, and safety equipment will be provided.
You will leave with a completed stained glass panel and a strong foundation in the skills needed to continue exploring stained glass. Please note that all students must sign a waiver prior to class.
