Explore the creative potential of everyday materials. Inspired by the tradition of found-object sculpture, learn to combine textures, shapes, and materials to create visually engaging compositions. Whether youre a beginner or experienced artist, this class encourages experimentation, exploration, and personal expression. Dive into the world of up-cycling and reimagine the objects around you!

Student Supply List:

The following are suggested materials. In addition to the base, please bring materials that you would like to include in your artworks.

Adhesives (Students should choose a glue that works with their materials):

• Hot glue gun & glue sticks
• Super glue or strong craft glue
• Wood glue

Cutting Tools (Students should choose tools that work with their materials):

• Scissors
• X-Acto knife or box cutter
• Wire cutters or pliers (for metal objects)

Assembly Tools:

• Hammer & nails (optional for heavier materials)
• Screwdriver & screws (for attaching hard objects)
• Staple gun (for attaching fabric or canvas)

Base Material for Assemblage:

• Wooden boards, canvases, cardboard, or other sturdy surfaces as a base
• Picture frames (optional)

Materials for Assemblage:
Found Objects & Miscellaneous Materials:

• Small metal objects (nails, screws, bottle caps, washers)
• Plastic parts or toys
• Fabric scraps, ribbon, yarn, lace
• Paper (newspaper, old books, magazines, etc.)
• Wood pieces or driftwood
• Wire, mesh, screen material
• Stones, shells, sand, natural materials
• Old tools, keys, or household items
• Recyclables (cardboard, plastic bottles, etc.)

• Acrylic paints, brushes, and sponges
• Spray paint or metallic paint for finishing touches
• Markers or pens for fine details
