How did showing in the exhibition impact your career as an artist?

“Being included in the Betsy Meyer Exhibition was a great honor for me. It encouraged me to continue painting with spontaneity and to record simply and directly the beauty and mystery of our planet.”

Artist Statement

Almost all of my paintings are landscapes. Many of them develop from quick sketches or notes made while traveling. I try to express the character of a place I have seen – or have imagined – in terms of color, form, and light. I like to work on paper because of its variety of textures, and its informality.

As the daughter and granddaughter (an now grandmother) of painters, I find in painting a deep connection to people as well as to nature. For me it is a way to give something back in return for my pleasure of seeing.
