December 1, 2018 – January 13, 2019
Main Line Art Center is proud to present the oil paintings of Professional Artist Member Kirby Fredendall in the Welcome Gallery. Her solo exhibition, Water Meeting the Sky, will be on view December 1, 2018 – January 13, 2019. Fredendall’s most recent work explores her relationship to a lake in the Adirondack Mountains. While the paintings can be most directly defined as landscapes, they can be more accurately described as representations of the constantly changing energy of our relationship with not only ourselves, but also with those around us and with our environment. They examine the unbreakable unbreakable but changeable connections that exist between forces both within us and without. “The lake, for me, is a metaphor for the constantly changing energy of our relationship with us, those around us, and with our environment. My paintings are a visual exploration of the unbreakable but changeable connections that exist between forces both within us and without..” – Kirby Fredendall For more information on the artist, please visit her website here.
