Robert Schmus Residency for Artists with Disabilities Exhibition
Artist Statement
Since I can remember, I always had an interest in art. How it is presented, how it is made, and how it comes in many different ways have always intrigued my curiosity. But what I love about art the most, is the story that it conveys. There are pieces of art that tell a story of the time period it was made, some that tell how the artist was feeling at the time, and some pieces have the viewer create their own story from their observation. I loved this aspect about art so much that, in 2018, I decided to start my own journey as an artist. Since then, I have loved every minute of it.
For my art, I want to share with you how I see the world through my eyes. Through my landscapes, I will show how I see the beauty of many places around the world both domestic and abroad. For my surrealist pieces, I show how art can be a gateway for overcoming adversity. Art has shown me how to express myself and how I see the world. I am honored to share this with you and take you on such a journey.
