In this special collaborative workshop with Main Line Art Center, you will create a small bouquet of stained glass flowers paired with a handmade clay vase. This mixed-media project brings light, color, and form together in a truly unique way.

You will begin at Main Line Art Center by creating a patterned ceramic vase to hold your future stained glass flowers. The following sessions will focus on making the stained glass flowers and will take place at Huentelglas Studios at 3603 Winding Way, Newtown Square, PA 19073. The stained glass portion of the class will be held over two days, from 10:00 AM to 2:00 PM each day, and will guide you through essential stained glass techniques while allowing plenty of room for personal expression through color and design.

You will leave the stained glass sessions with completed glass flowers, which will then be paired with your clay vase. The final result will be a sculptural, light-catching artwork designed to be displayed and enjoyed year-round.

Day One at Main Line Art Center

You will create and glaze your ceramic vase.

Day Two at Huentelglas Studios

You will select glass from a curated collection, cut pieces into flower shapes, and grind and refine them for a proper fit.

Day Three at Huentelglas Studios

You will copper foil your glass pieces, solder the flowers to completion, and finish and prepare the stained glass elements.
