Discover the bold, colorful world of gouache! In this four-week class, you’ll learn how to mix colors, layer light and dark, and experiment with brush techniques to create your own still lifes and landscapes.

Whether you’re a beginner or just curious about this expressive medium, you’ll find endless ways to play and create.

Student Supply List: 

• Look for “Designers Gouache” – avoid acrylic gouache  – tubes are preferred, but jelly gouache or pan gouache sets are okay  
  
  • Titanium White or Permanent White 
  • Ultramarine Blue
  • One blue (choose one): Primary Blue, Phthalo Blue, or Turquoise Blue
  • Spectrum Yellow or Cadmium Yellow
  • Yellow Ochre
  • One green (choose one): Permanent Green, Process Green, or Primary Green
  • Quinacridone Red or Primary Red  
• Assortment of watercolor or acrylic brushes (small and medium sizes)
• Small spray bottle with a fine mist 
• Palette or palette paper (freezer paper is fine)  
• Masking tape  
• Pencil and eraser
