Born in Oakland, California, Tali Burry-Schnepp moved to Philadelphia, Pennsylvania to attend The Pennsylvania Academy of the Fine Arts where she received her BFA in 2023. She is a printmaker, painter and tapestry weaver. Interaction with the birds, plants and other characters in the landscape are important to her as subject and for material usage. She works with contemporary paints and pigments as well as natural fibers and dyes. Through teaching craft she aims to offer tools for her students to develop a language of picture making. More than anything, through deep connection with the materials at hand, Tali hopes her students can create their own lasting relationship with the visual world.
