Explore the art of shibori, the Japanese technique of manipulating fabric before dyeing. In this 3 hour hands-on workshop, we will tend to a natural indigo vat and learn different techniques of folding and binding fabric to create beautiful surface patterns. Students may bring an item or textile to dye, and they will leave with several swatches. Item must be t-shirt size or smaller, white, and made of a natural fiber (cotton, linen, silk).
