Join us for the Opening Reception and ceramics second sale on Saturday, April 5th. The evening will include the announcement of the “Best in Show” winners, the opening reception of our Annual Garden Sculpture Exhibition, and a large variety of ceramics at unbelievable prices! Guests will enjoy light bites, beverages, and music while supporting our vision of art for everyone!
This year’s prize juror is John Baker, Board President of Chester County Art Association and Professor Emeritus Art and Design at West Chester University. John Baker received his BA and Doctorate of Fine Arts from West Chester University and MFA from the University of Delaware. He has taught for 41 years in the Department of Art + Design WCU, chairing the department for 20 years. His work has been exhibited in numerous private, museum and corporate collections including over 200 international, national, and regional exhibitions. He continues to serve on several art boards, commissions, and as a WCU Foundation Trustee.
His studio practice includes a mixed-media approach to canvas and board influenced and informed through his extensive international travel. He also creates functional ceramic vessels, continuing to investigate the bowl form.
