This class is part of our Art For Everyone series and is offered tuition-free for those experiencing economic hardship during the pandemic. Please register if cost has been a barrier to your participation at the Art Center. Spaces are limited and are first come, first serve. Learn how to use chalk pastels in artmaking. We will focus on color theory and will include basic drawing instructions as well. You will learn to use chalk pastels in different styles of art, such as still-life, portrait and landscape and will share your masterpieces at the end of each class for peer review. At the end the session, you will have a basic understanding and experience in using chalk pastel.
