In jewelry design, there are many techniques that introduce surface decoration. In this workshop you will explore roller printing and keum boo. Roller Printing is a technique where you can impart a decorative pattern to the surface of your jewelry project by compressing jewelry metal with a patterned brass plate in a rolling mill. Keum Boo is a Korean decorative technique of fusing 24k gold leaf to either a fine silver surface or a depletion guilded sterling silver surface. Depletion guilding is a process of creating a fine silver surface on top of sterling silver by repeatedly annealing and pickling. You will be making 2 projects: a pair of earrings and a pendant.
